Managing your own DNS MX Record

Reference Number: AA-05020 Created: 2013-09-23 17:08 Last Updated: 2013-09-23 17:23 0 Rating/ Voters

If you manage your own DNS record, please note that you may need to adjust your MX record to ensure proper email delivery to your myhosting.com mailboxes.

Please note that starting 29 July 2013, all new subscriptions which include email are provisioned with SpamExperts Anti-Spam Service. The MX records required are as follows:

  • mx.spamexperts.com. (priority 10)
  • fallbackmx.spamexperts.eu. (priority 20)
  • lastmx.spamexperts.net. (priority 30)

If your account was provisioned before this date, your service may still be using the Google-Postini service. However we will be migrating all customers to SpamExperts in the coming weeks. For now, you can set your MX record as follows:

  • _____.s9a1.psmtp.com. (priority 10)
  • _____.s9a2.psmtp.com. (priority 20)
  • _____.s9b1.psmtp.com. (priority 30)
  • _____.s9b2.psmtp.com. (priority 40)

Replace _____ with your full domain name, such as yourdomain.com, not including the www part. Please note that once you receive your migration notice, you may need to update your MX record to match the SpamExperts settings at the top of this article.

To determine which Anti-Spam service your account is currently configured for, please log into your Control Panel and select your subscription. If you see the "Anti-Spam" tab, this means your account is configured to use SpamExperts.
